Playing The Hand Dealt

Well, it's no secret to those who fish Steelhead on the Alley, that this Spring has been like playing cards. The deck has been shuffled and the cards have hit the table time and again.

Just a couple of days ago, the rain fell yet again making for unfavorable conditions. That made the upcoming day one card short of a poker game. However, we had our poker faces on and looked for the flop with confidence. As luck would have it, time on the local waters paid off and the last minute call to fish paid well.

We hope that the Ohio waters will dial back in soon so that we can all get back to chasing Manistees. Until then, keep your eyes on the gauges and give us a shout if you want to try and get out. A Few More Fish From This Week, And A Quick Update!

Looks like rain and thunderstorms going into the new week, keep an eye on the USGS Guages and the NOAA forecast. It has been a stellar week for the guys with a few really nice Lake Erie Steelhead hitting the bottom of the net. We are still seeing Hold-over, drop-back, and a few fresh Steelhead in the mix. No huge numbers of fish in anyone place. Be prepared to hike and you will find enough Steelhead that are willing to take flies.

A Pretty Cool Way To Start The Week!

Here are a few of the pictures from this past Monday and Tuesday with the Reel-Woman Reel-Men of Indianapolis. This was the 10th Outing Patti has put together for the club, and once again just outstanding people to fish with! Patti, Sesie, Duane, Meredith, John, and Bob we would like to thank you for another great outing! As always we look forward to seeing you next fall!
