Steelhead Alley Outfitter guides are properly licensed, insured, and have training in CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety. Many of the guides also have Certified Wilderness Training. Our staff of guides consists of anglers who grew up fishing across our Lake Erie Tributaries and consider them their "Home Waters".
After the Steelhead season many of the guys continue guiding and hosting trips for everything from western trout in Montana, Wyoming to eastern trout on the Delaware River system in New York and Pennsylvania. If they aren't in those areas, they can be found hosting trips to Alaska and Canada for Salmon, Char, Trout, and Grayling. On special occasions high adventure trips such as our Evolution Valley Golden Trout trip will be hosted for those wanting to get way off the beaten path. Our guides live to fish and have a combined experience well in excess of 150 years. The amount of fly fishing experience our guys have obtained is more than anyone could ask for in a lifetime. When you fish with a Steelhead Alley Outfitters guide, you will be fishing with an experienced, highly specialized, professional guide.
Our guide trips are 8 hours in length, but all of the guides put in plenty of extra hours when needed to make their trips successful.
All use of equipment is included in the price of the trip! This includes quality rods, reels, leaders, tippet, and custom flies. We also take quality photographs of many of your catches to memorialize your special day on the water.
Each client will have a streamside lunch prepared for them, along with refreshments. We do not grill lunches on the stream! Many of our clients have felt, as do we, that this is a waste of valuable fishing time here on Steelhead Alley! Lunches vary among our guides, but most lunches will consist of one or more of the following: cold cut sandwiches, hot soups, salads, and various sides. I will take you out for a steak dinner at the end of a wonderful day of fishing if you want one really bad!
We have handled the requests of clients from across the country, and you can expect the same service and expertise on every outing! All skill levels and inquiries welcome... Individual, family, corporate, and special needs requests are all accommodated and available to the angler.
